Meet AU4H RAdio Host Laurie Ann Smith

 




Laurie Ann Smith is a popular radio talk show host, AU4H Radio coordinator, child advocate, public speaker and writer who seeks truth and justice for children exposed to abuse. Laurie speaks out and writes against these injustices done onto children. Her mission is to raise public awareness in effort to stop child abuse to create a safe enviroment for children around the globe..

Smith has contributed to several publications; 'Silent No More' (2011), 'Growing Stronger, Growing Free' (2012), Remembering Kelley' (2015), and 'Tent City: Tragedy Turned Triumph' (2016).

On February 2, Northern Books reprinted Smith's 2010 personal jouranls; 'One Child Abuse Survivor 2 Another: The Journey' and 'A Life of Death: The Redemption' exposing Smith's truth of growing up in an abusive home, incest, rape, sodomy and other traumatic memories.

In addition to her personal journals, 'La Veta Juvies' is intended to help teens in violent situations reach out for help. All 3 books are available in paperback and eBook formats on Amazon, Lulu Publishing and Barnes and Nobles. All proceeds from Laurie's books are being donated to Advocates United for Humanity; a tax exempt nonprofit organization based in Clinton County, Pennsylvania dedicated to 'positive social change.' .

Northern Books is hosting a launch party in late February. Smith is scheduled to appear on various radio talk shows over the next few months. Her first one on one interview is on AU4H Radio with hosts Lee Roberts and Donna Kshir on Wednesday, March 3rd at 9 pm EST streaming LIVE on YouTube and various media outlets.

The Push Continues for Roberts and Kshir

Two grandmothers from Clinton County continue to petition to make the state’s child abuse registry open to the public just as the sex offenders’ registry is open to the public under Megan’s Law. Donna M. Kshir (North Bend) and Lee Cougardawn Roberts (who divides her time between Clinton County and Crestview, Flordia) are continuing to seek legislation to become law that would require the State Police to open the current private database of individuals convicted of child abuse offenses in the state, including their name, date of birth, the tier of the crime and the location the crime took place, according to Lexi Howard, an assistant and spokeswoman for Ms. Kshir and Roberts.
